The "blessed are" statements of Jesus (Beatitudes) from His Sermon on the Mount are at the very heart of His preaching. These statements or qualities give a picture of the character of the true people of God, those who are a part of his Kingdom and have the full blessings of the Kingdom to look forward to. Each statement is like a Proverb and we will study them individually for the next six weeks.
